Thanks for all your help with Districts. It is time to get ready for States! Please check in with Fabian to make sure he is all set with his campaign!!

A note on Official SkillsUSA Dress…

We need to make sure that we adhere to the rules especially at States! Stop by my office. I will be ordering white shirts and black pants.

The election committee was reminded that a motion was made and passed at the beginning of the meeting stating that the open positions would be filled by candidates who ran for other positions and did not win. These candidates handed in paperwork and essays on time indicating their interest in being Greater Lowell SkillsUSA Officers.

Vannerya, Sara, Jacob,  Brady, Lovetter, and Yuri please see Mrs. Bennett on Monday morning.

Congratulations to our new officers! I am sure they will represent the school and SkillsUSA with pride!!

Here’s the SCOOP for Fall State…Read Carefully!

This Weekend is FALL STATE!!!

SUNDAY

Be at GLTHS at 10:00 for luggage check and sign-in.
The bus will leave no later than 10:30 so DO NOT BE LATE!!

PACK A LUNCH!! You will not have a full meal until dinnertime!! Make sure you the bus is picked up and clean before you depart!!

Students will remain on the bus at the hotel until they are registred by Ms. Roy.
Luggage will be brought to a designated area until 3:00 and then brought to your rooms.

An INFORMAL reception will take place at 1:00. Everyone must attend. You do not need to wear official Skills dress but you should be dressed appropriatley. A nice top or sweater with neat  pants will suffice. This is your first opportunity to prove your leadership capabilities!

You will be changing into Official SkillsUSA Dress for Sunday night activities.

Official SkillsUSA dress includes:
White Shirt/Black Tie
Black Pants/Skirt (NOT BLACK LEGGINGS!)
Official Blazer
Black socks/nude color nylons
Black shoes
See Mrs. Bennett for your blazer!

MONDAY
Monday morning will be casual attire because you will be working on the community service project.
Casual attire means neat jeans (no holes), and an appropriate sweatshirt/sweater. You will also be given a conference t-shirt to wear.

You will be changing into Official Skills Dress for the afternoon.

TUESDAY
Official Skills Dress for the entire day!

PACKING LIST!!

  • SkillsUSA Blazer
  • Two or three white shirts
  • Black tie
  • One or two pairs of black pants/skirts (no leggings!)
  • Business casual clothing
  • Sweatshirts/Sweaters for Community Service Project (you will be working outside)
  • Warm socks/shoes/gloves for the Community Service Project
  • Personal items (toothbrush etc..)
  • CANNED GOOD TO GET INTO THE DANCE!!!
  • snacks
  • BAG Lunch for Sunday!!!

BE SURE YOUR RIDE IS AT GREATER LOWELL AT 4:30 TO PICK YOU UP!!!!!

Fall State Leadership Information

Please stop by my office to pick up your Fall State Leadership paperwork. All paperwork must be submitted on or before Friday October16 at 2:00pm. Late forms will not be accepted and you will not be eligible to attend the trip. Forms can be picked up before homeroom or after 9:30. See you then!
